When I’m working on creative stuff, efficiency is not my strong suit. I tend to jump around from project to project and get easily distracted by new opportunities. I’ve been trying to become more effecient – mainly by focusing on one medium at a time and working on things in big batches.
For instance, here, I cut and finished a whole pile of scrap leather for bracelets instead of completing one at a time. Then I painted them and used the metallic oxidizing process, and finally added snaps, grommets and hardware to finish them. It was more effecient for sure.
The problem is, it didn’t seem quite as fun and it’s got me wondering… Which will be better in the long-term: Efficiency or fun?
